DANCE INNOVATIONS ANNOUNCES NEW FACULTY
GREENLAND, NH – April 18, 2018
The world of dance and dance education is constantly evolving and that means that dance studios need to be ready to offer the latest trends and classes which interest the students. A big part of being able to offer this is having innovative faculty.
Over the past 15 of years, Dance Innovations has offered quality dance education for Greenland and the surrounding Seacoast New Hampshire communities. Since moving to their expanded, new space at 64 Tide Mill Road [in Greenland], they are adding to their faculty in order to provide an even better experience to their clients.
“I have always been immensely proud of the faculty and staff I have at my studio,” says Owner/Director, Katie FItzpatrick. “We consider continuing education for our teachers to be a top priority. In addition, I am always looking for new teachers who can bring renewed energy and innovative programs. I am sure with this new faculty member, I have found that.”
The newest staff member at Dance Innovations is: Emma Eliason. In addition to working the reception desk and hosting birthday parties at the studio, she is also a member of the teaching faculty. Some of her areas of expertise include: Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Contemporary, Tap, Pre-Dance, and Theatre Dance. Like all staff and faculty members at Dance Innovations, Emma is background checked, CPR certified, and YPAD (Youth Protection Advocates in Dance) certified.
Dance Innovations welcomes all youth and families from throughout the Seacoast New Hampshire community to be part of their studio and experience all that their faculty has to offer.
Emma began her dance training at the age of four. She trained at Acton Boxborough Dance Center in Massachusetts where she studied ballet, tap, jazz, modern, lyrical, and pointe. She was also a member of the studio’s ballet performing company and competition team. Emma has also completed summer dance intensives as Jose Mateo Ballet Theatre in Cambridge, MA and the Boston Ballet in Newton, MA. She received her B.A. in Dance at the University of New Hampshire where she studied ballet, pointe, jazz, contemporary, tap, and theatre dance. She was a member of the UNH Ballet company and performed in shows such as Peter and the Wolf, Don Quixote, Les Enslaves (inspired by Le Corsaire), and Cinderella. At UNH she took courses in dance history, dance pedagogy, dance composition, and choreography. For her senior capstone she choreographed and performed a twelve minute ballet to a piece composed by Mozart. Emma is still studying ballet and pointe. She currently attends graduate school at the University of New Hampshire where she is working toward completing her Master’s in Early Childhood Education. Dance Innovations is excited to welcome her as the newest member of their faculty and staff.
