MARCH – Community Service Discussion/Planning
Dear Parents:
As we wrote to you last December, this April will be our planned Community Service month. By giving without any expectations, dancers develop gratitude and kindness. In our March classes, we will be gathering the dancer’s own ideas and plans for community service and we will be sharing our studio’s ideas with them.
How you can help:
Discuss community service opportunities with your dancer. Ask your dancer how she/ he feels about giving back to the community. For those dancers who want to perform individual acts of service we will be sending home a form for you to complete, sign and return to the studio.
Reminder: Wingman Recognition awards will be announced during Wingman Celebration in April. We are reminding dancers that not every nomination receives an award, the actions must truly go above and beyond.

Wingman for Dance is a program from Dylan’s Wings of Change, a foundation dedicated to the memory of Dylan Hockley, one of the first grade victims of the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School on December 14, 2012.
