The Importance of Dress Code
Following a dress code makes the dancers take the class and themselves seriously by dressing the part.
Dress code is important in every class, even the youngest classes, because it helps eliminate distractions.
No jewelry and no t-shirts may be worn. You may purchase dancewear and shoes through the studio or we can supply you with a list of places you can purchase dancewear and shoes.
No belly baring or sports bras as tops in any class.
Attire
Leotards allow instructors to see the dancers body lines. Baggy clothes mask these lines, obscuring essential aspects of technique for instructors critiques. In the winter months, dancers are permitted to tight-fitting ballet/dance sweaters. NO JEANS OR DRESSES IN ANY CLASSES!
Tights
Wearing tights is proper dance etiquette for ANY style of dance class. Tights are also worn because they protect legs from scratches and floor burn.
Shoes
Shoes assigned to certain styles of dance are to be worn to each class as each shoe is designed for that specific style of dance. Please WRITE YOUR NAME IN ALL YOUR DANCE SHOES and keep them in your dance bag or cubby at all times.
Hair
Hair is to be pulled back and out of dancers faces for any style of dance. For ballet classes, it is highly recommended for hair to be worn in a bun to avoid hair hitting the face, making it more difficult to turn.

Shoes: Pink full-sole ballet shoes
Tiny Tutus & Taps Girls
Attire: Solid colored leotard, optional skirt, and pink or tan footed tights
Shoes: Pink full-sole ballet shoes and black tap shoes
Tiny Bop & Roll Girls
Attire: All dancewear and/or loose-fitting gym attire is acceptable as long as the knees are covered by leggings or tights – any style of pink or tan tights
Shoes: Black dance sneakers
